This first stage is meant to awaken your interest and activate the linguistic knowledge that you may already have but don’t even know it.  The way we achieve this is by putting you in a few situations through the use of images, videos or a brainstorming session to bring out your latent talent.

In this stage, you will start processing linguistic information through the observation of certain written text or audio dialogue. Processing linguistic information requires you to engage in activities that will help you reflect on grammatical rules and the proper use of the language. Within the activities, you will receive an input to decode with your prior knowledge and inductive capacity.

To ensure that you have assimilated all the grammar and vocabulary you’ve learnt, you will practice the different linguistic skills through drills and controlled exercises that focus on the form, without introducing new information. This is the stage that creates linguistic habits and memory patterns.

This stage is essential in bringing out all the knowledge you have acquired thus far, to start producing content in oral or written form, relating it with other acquired knowledge.  This is achieved with open-response communicative activities that demand creativity, through activities such as role-play, narrations, surveys, debates, problem-solving or report writing.

This final stage enables you to complete the learning process by providing the opportunity to check and reflect on the contents learned. Educating yourself on how you learn best and empowering you to expand your own learning strategy.
